On Friday, June 30, 2023, at 8am Tom Thumb (Forney's worst kept secret project) and Malouf Interests will break ground on a new grocery-anchored development located at 435 S. FM 548, Forney, TX 75126.
On June 10th, 2023, to start the Founders’ Day event, the city held a site dedication for Reeves Henry. There will be a new historical marker placed at the site in the future.
At the end of the May 16 meeting, Trustee Barbara Jo Green announced her desire to resign, citing health and family reasons. The board accepted her resignation.
She then suggested Mr. Idemudia as a replacement - the board reviewed his resume, then approved appointing Dr. Michael Idemudia for the remainder of her term.
